Austin Nichols was born on April 24th 1980, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His parents names are Kay and David. He also has a sister Ashley who was recently married. Austin has wanted to be an actor for much of his life.
Before becoming a star he was suppose to attend the University of Texas but is currently a student at the university of Southern California. Although Austin is becoming a star he still makes time for friends and family.
Austin moved to LA to study creative writing at USC. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English while siultaneously pursuing a career in acting. It was not long before Hollywood took notice. Austin got his start with recurring roles on HBO's Six Feet Under, opposite Rachel Griffiths and Fox's drama Pasadena opposite Alison Lohman In addition to acting and writing, Nichols comes from an impressive athletic background. He was ranked third in the world in water skiing and won the Pan American Championship in 1997. He also enjoys golf, tennis and horseback riding, the latter inspired by his Texas up bringing and an obsession with filmaker John Ford. Austin is a cinephile who admires Hal Ashby and Sam Fuller.
